Does anybody watch F1 in HD on RTL HD? (On 19.2 degrees East?) I’m thinking of‚ installing a dish and receiver for this package. (HD+)

I’m in the UK. To receive a decent signal in HD for Astra 1, would I need a bigger satellite dish or would a 60cm do? Talking of which, I might get a motorised but that is a different topic altogether.

Not that it is important but I can’t understand why RTL (HD) isn’t listed on this page‚ (19.2 channel‚ list on‚ lyngsat) yet it is apparently found‚ at‚ 19.2 as it is listed on this HD packages page: http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/HD-.html
Am I missing anything obvious? if I point a dish at 19.2 and get a HD+ subscription I should be able to get RTL HD and watch F1 in HD?

I was also considering viasat sport (Sweden) and other Hd channels which broadcast F1 for when RTL ( for example) have adverts. If anyone‚ watches F1 HD from any other channels I am open to suggestions.

Rob used to also list ORF 1 HD …….for Free Formula One…… But…….I think some kind of ‚ special “Patch” ‚ for the satellite receiver is needed tho……..

I watch F1 on ORF1 SD for non BBC races……but from the Roof arial (DVB-T)…..as i’m just about close enough to the Austrian Border to get a signal…………..

I guess it just shows the transponders as HD+ and the specific HD+ package page shows the available channels.

… And Yes if you have a HD+ card you can watch RTL HD but you need a box that accepts and handles the card.
